سوره واقعه، پنجاه و ششمین سوره و از سوره‌های مکی قرآن که در جزء بیست و هفتم جای گرفته است. «واقعه» یکی از نام‌های قیامت است و در آیه اول این سوره آمده است. سوره واقعه درباره روز قیامت و وقایع آن سخن می‌گوید و مردم را در روز قیامت به سه گروهِ اصحاب یمین، اصحاب شِمال و سابقون دسته‌بندی می‌کند و درباره جایگاه و پاداش یا عذاب هر گروه سخن می‌گوید. در تفاسیر آمده است، مراد از گروه سوم (سابقون) امام علی(ع) است که در ایمان‌آوردن به پیامبر(ص) بر دیگران سبقت گرفت. فضایل بسیاری برای تلاوت این سوره بیان شده است، از جمله اینکه اگر کسی سوره واقعه را بخواند، نوشته می‌شود که از غافلان نیست.

فضیلت و خواص

برای تلاوت سوره واقعه فضیلت و خواص بسیاری بیان شده است؛ از جمله در تفسیر مجمع البیان از پیامبر(ص) نقل شده است اگر کسی سوره واقعه را بخواند، نوشته می‌شود که از غافلان نیست. همچنین در روایات آمده اگر کسی سوره واقعه را بخواند، هرگز گرفتار تنگدستی نمی‌شود. بنابر حدیثی دیگر از امام صادق(ع)، سوره واقعه سورهٔ امیرالمؤمنین (ع) است و هرکس آن را بخواند، از دوستان ایشان خواهد بود.

The Surah Al-Haqqat, the 56th Surah of the Mecca of the Qur'an, which is included in the twenty-seventh chapter. "Event" is one of the names of the resurrection and is mentioned in the first verse of this sura.
